At SID Associates, the cabin had a problem common to many modern offices: ECHO.
Hard surfaces let sound bounce around the room, making conversations harder to follow and the space less comfortable to work in. The ceiling is also the most overlooked surface in a room, and the client wanted it to look good as well as perform.

The COFUR Approach

Noise is one of the most disruptive forces and one of the least addressed. Most ceilings are treated as an afterthought. At COFUR, we approach the ceiling differently. Our range is built on one premise: the overhead environment shapes how a space feels just as much as what sits on the floor. COFUR proposed its Acoustic Ceiling for the cabin, with two goals:

• Reduce echo through acoustics: The ceiling absorbs sound instead of reflecting it, so the room feels quieter, calls and discussions are clearer, and the space is easier to concentrate in.
• Elevate the look of the room: Every COFUR ceiling product is designed to perform acoustically and also add to the visual character of the space. Here, the ceiling became a clean, refined design feature rather than a plain overhead surface.

The Result
